sista from another mista

This is Aliyah Hyman.

She is my sista from another mista. Not really, but you get the point, and if you don’t then I’m kind of worried about you. ANYWAYYYYYY, this last week of blogging, I dedicate this post to someone who has grown up with me for most of my life.

Aliyah is my little butt munch. When she is in a good mood, she can be funny and knows how to brighten up your day with stupid little inside jokes. Here are some examples of jokes that you will not understand: lucy, chanchula, chuchees, papayas for life, the hanger, and there’s so much more. Sometimes she’s not in the best mood so watch out if she is because then you will end up having to catch some hands boiii. But in most times, there is a lot more positive about her, than there is negative.

Just like sisters, we can either be super close or go at each other like cats and dogs (I call being the dog because dogs are better than cats. If you agree with then we are automatically friends and if you don’t then please fight me right now:). But I’m chilling because I still love her… I guessss, hehe.

A fun fact to add in, is that she loves to eat all the food. Personally, like who wouldn’t it’s food???? But when I say she loves food, I absolutely mean that to a tee. Her diet consists of any type of spicy chips and maruchan’s cup of soup. You know, sometimes I aspire to be like her due to the things she eats. It’s actually amazing :’)

There is a lot more I could say about Aliyah, but I’m not down to write all of that so I’m going to keep at this. So to sum it up, my sista from another mista is a person who I care about very much. She is nice (at times), funny as poop, cool, cute, and in general, is a very outstanding human being.

lazy days

As usual my life is pretty boring. I don’t really hang out with people that much and when I do it’s usually at school. The reason is because I rather be sleeping in on the weekend and relaxing the whole day while eating food and using my phone while being lazy.

I mean it’s nothing new.. I’m always tired and yeah that’s pretty much what I do. But like so since I really don’t have a big story for this week I’m just going to give some things I do during my lazy days. One example is pictured above, I bundle myself in my blankets and lay like that using my cellular device. I recommend doing this because it’s very comfortable and you feel like you’re a beautiful butterfly being born when you break out of the position. Another thing I do when I get bored and feel like being “productive” is I take a pictures of myself and see if any of them are pretty enough to post. To be honest most of them do not come out right because of the way I am but oh well. I also do that one thing where I think some of them are decent looking but then I stare at them for too long and then they end up turning ugly.

Sorry guys I don’t put on makeup when I have my lazy days. Well at least most of the time.

Besides those two things, I watch Netflix or movies on my PS4. Not movies on Netflix but actual movies that you insert into a DVD player. And after a nice round of watching movies or tv shows, I go upstairs and I take a nice nap. Or sometimes I do face masks.

I really suggest buying the seaweed clay mask from Sephora!!!! It works really well and gives you a nice glow after washing it off:) it also detoxifies and cleanses! And then for the rest of the day I eat, sleep, and use electronic devices. Oh and most importantly, I WEAR THE MOST COMFORTABLE PJS so don’t forget to wear pjs that make you feel like you’re in heaven.

What do you do on your lazy days? Tell me about it! Leave a comment.

beachy.

This weekend my boyfriend and his amigos decided to play football at Santa Barbara City College. It was on friday to be exact and I waited for my sister and Jesse to get off of school (Jesse is my boo). Once they were off we went over to my nina’s house and we stayed there and freshened up a little. We also ate pizza and drank sprites. Time flew by and around 6:00 PM, my mom took us to SBCC. We arrive and we wait in the parking lot with a few other football players. Kurt and Jacob T finally arrive and the football players were debating where to go due to the fact that CC’s field was filled up with a whole bunch of people. Half of the group went to San Marcos, at least I think so, and Maribel, Jesse, Jacob T., Kurt, Jacob R., and I went to the beach. We ended up towards the end of Ledbetter and the boys set up the touchdown zones.

My sister and I were taking pictures because I finally got a new phone and my camera quality is hella amazing. Not only that but she was looking pretty good so I was like why not, ya know?

The sun starts to set and the sky starts to turn into a beautiful ombre. My sister, Giancarlo, Kurt, Jacob T., and I are passing the football to each other (Giancarlo met up with us later). Anyways, I ended up getting tackled and falling in the sand. It was really funny and unexpected. After that, Jesse and Jacob R. are using the restroom and I take pictures.

This is Kurt and Maribel. Some funny looking people eh? IM KIDDING GUYS. Or am I? Hehe.

This is another photo I took, This time it’s of Jacob T. and Kurt.

After football, we hangout at Kurt’s house and watch a movie. Let me tell you, the room was crowded but it was worth the funny moments we had when we got there.

So long story short, this is what I did this weekend, nothing boring but nothing super exciting. Life is beachy I guess. To be honest I prefer the pool but the beach gives more sights. So yeah…

What did you do this weekend? Do you prefer the beach or the pool? Tell me about it, leave a comment.

what a bore.

Like usual I did nothing interesting. I didn’t hang out with anyone, I did not go anywhere, so when I say that I did nothing then I mean I did nothing. The most that happened was an awful event…. my phone broke. I don’t even know how because for starters, I did not drop it. I literally picked it up from the bed and my phone was half white with four colored lines and black. It was so horrible and so right now I have no phone to use. How am I supposed to keep in contact with people I talk to? They probably think I am dead. It has been almost four days without it (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and now Tuesday) and I’m not really complaining but I would like to have my cellular device back so I could at least play some games and read books on wattpad.

Besides that happening, I watched lots of Netflix and played lots of Fortnite. Oo! I also took a nice nap. Netflix was kind of boring. My shows were completed, I was watching “A Series of Unfortunate Events” but after a while I was over it which caused me to take the long nap I needed. I love sleeping so much. If you didn’t wake me up I would probably sleep until 11:00 am. Anyways, I woke up and did nothing…again. I tried to be productive for a bit. I washed my face and put on a mask but after that I still did nothing. I stayed in my pajamas and was mentally debating whether or not I should read an actual book that was not on my phone. Can you guess my final decision?  If you guessed that I did not grab a physical form of a book, then you are correct and should like this post and leave a comment! Hehe, but back to the “story”, I just decided to lay down and yeah that was pretty much all I did this weekend. Oh and one more thing, I also ate food. Okay so yeah, my weekend was a bore and as you can tell I did not do anything exciting because that’s my life.

By the way, I do not have photos because my phone is broken 😦

What’d you do this weekend? Leave a comment and tell me about it.

viva las vegas

(this was not edited so sorry if you find a mistake)

It was Friday and I did not have to go to school and can you guess why? Ding ding ding you’re right, I went to Vegas for the weekend baby! I wake up tired but obviously more excited than usual because I was leaving the state. My things were packed and ready to go but first, before we loaded anything into some sort or transportation, we had to go drop off our car at my nina’s and pick up a rental one. A few complications occurred but it’s all good.

After loading up the car with our belongings, we start off on the road. I was in charge of music because my music is hella lit, well in my opinion it is. Anyways, I admire views as we zoom past different cities through California. I wish I had a photo to share but sadly I didn’t take any. Hours pass by and usually I would be asleep halfway through the car ride but surprisingly I was still up jamming out to some bangers.

An almost six hour trip later, we arrived to Las Vegas. I was super stoked for everything at that point. We check in, get our stuff, and head up to our room. The room was pretty spacey and I felt like a queen. For the first few hours that my family and I were there for, we just stayed in bed watching some TV until my mom suggested we do something. That suggestion was insisting that we go to eat.

Hell’s Kitchen!! Shout out to the iconic dude himself, Gordon Ramsey. Guess what though, I did not eat here but I wish. The next reservation there would be until Tuesday, it was Saturday when we asked. Anyways, back to the events on Friday, we went to go eat at a 50s diner looking restaurant called Steak n’ Shake. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT, IT IS SOO GOOD AND I RATE IT A 10 OUT OF 10. After eating we cruised around the hotel and checked out what they had there and that was pretty much it for the first day.

On saturday we went to the strip later on in the day. I saw such amazing sites and everything looked so beautiful.

We went into different hotels and at some point we experienced the weirdest food. It was totally not what I had in mind to snack on but that’s okay because we ended up eating something different, AKA Buffalo Wild Wings. Let me tell you, that ish was amazing!!!!

Just to let you know, before we had that whole food situation, we went into Caesar’s Palace and saw some cool architecture.

To some that whole day up, it was super awesome and I want to go back and not be at school.

On sunday, there was a cheer competition, it was the second round of Aloha Championships. I watched teams perform with cool stunts, routines, and flips. My sister came on and I swear I could have lost my voice within five seconds of screaming but I didn’t. She did so well, it was a  proud sister moment.

She’s center of this picture. Amazing isn’t it? Awards came around and they placed third, which is not completely bad out of the teams they were up and running against.

This her and her coach. After this, we went to the room and changed into something more comfortable and decided what we wanted to pool. The original plan as to go to the pool, but that didn’t happen because 3/4 people’s minds changed. Which made the 1/4 furious. Instead we went to eat at the buffet, I felt so fat but it was worth it. Well at least somewhat. When we finished eating went went to the arcade upstairs and after the arcade we went bowling. I did horribly at first but I bounced back and took that dub out of all the girls.

Midnight came around and we were all tired so we headed back up to our room. I went to sleep and then boom. the next thing you know it is eight in the morning and your mom is packing up her stuff and then tells you to do the same. I am not ready to go back home yet but it is what it is.

A five and a half hour ride later, were back in the city I live in. All I can say is, viva Las Vegas and may I go back sometime soon.

Have you ever been to Vegas? Tell me about it, leave a comment!

Spring Break?

So what is Spring break? I’m pretty sure most students or people know what it is but that’s not going to stop me from explaining. Anyways, Spring break is a short period of time (a week) that allows you to take a pause from all the stress and anxiety that all the teachers cause during school (no offense to teachers out there but you gotta chill with all the work you give us). It is a time for catching up with friends, sleeping in, relaxing, watching netflix, and eating all you can and possibly gaining a few pounds. You’re probably wondering, “Marissa, what did you do for Spring break?” Or you might not be thinking that at all but do you think I’m going to give you detail? If you said no then that’s wrong and you should just exit the room right now, hehe. Okay back to the point! So to start it off I am a boring sack of potatoes. I pretty much did absolutely nothing exciting for most of the break. Well actually maybe a few things. Monday passed, so did tuesday, and Wednesday, I think thursday passed too until it hit friday and I actually had some plans! Wait I take that back I had plans on Wednesday too with my boo. See what I did there? I made it rhyme on purpose 🙂 okay but after Thursday (which is obviously Friday) I got ready and I went to the zoo!!! It was very fun, I haven’t been to the zoo since my elementary days so I was highkey hyped.

As you can see I saw one of my favorite animals, which was the fox (fun fact: this is a fennec fox) Not only that but I also got two stuffed animals that were foxes and I named them Lenny and Shiloh. They are shown below.

(insert my stuffed animals photo)

After the zoo, I ate habit and let me tell you, I needed that burger. Okay but wait there’s more, after eating I walked to the boys and girls club?!???!! Isn’t that mindblowing?? I hung out there for a bit and said hi to some people I haven’t seen in a cool minute.

Friday flew by and then it was Saturday. I hit the gym. WOAh MarIsSa GoEs tO tHE GYm? Well yeah, I just got a membership so like why not? Attention: if you go to the 24 hours gym in Santa Barbara, California hmu so we could possibly go together (and if I know you).

My sister and I went together. It was actually pretty cool, I felt like I accomplished something epic. So then once we finished working out, my mom picked us up and we headed over to Jesse’s house. We picked him up and we hung out!! #superfun. We  watched movies and we ate lots of food and snacks and life was good.

On Sunday, it was Easter. I went to my aunt’s house and just stayed in the room with my cousins playing video games for the majority of the time I was there. I didn’t even egg hunt but it’s okay because I still managed to get some candy.

Okay I’m gonna stop it there because my fingers are getting tired. Thank you for tuning in folks 🙂

What did you do for Spring break? Tell me about it, leave a comment.

birthday weekend?

Last thursday, on March 15th 2018, was my birthday. The big one six, which I’m pretty sure you know I mean that this girl (the one in the picture below) is finally sixteen. Can I get a hallelujah? hallelujah.

On my birthday, I received lots of, “happy birthday” comments. To be honest I never really thought so many people would talk to me but I was wrong. And to be even more honest I was shook some people even remembered that thursday was a special day for me. So of course throughout the day, I was constantly saying thank you. Like really constantly, you’d think that those words were the first two words I said as a baby. Okay now it’s time to fast forward! After school I went home and did my usual routine and then after my daily habits I took a picture of my outfit because it was super cute. Well at least in my opinion.

If you look at the bottom right corner you can see there is lotion, a water bottle, moisturizer, and one of my favorite hair products (biosilk). Fun Fact: I really love biosilk and I definitely recommend using it whether you’re a female or male. Anyways, that’s me again, you know? And that’s the outfit I wore. Oh and one thing I forgot to add was the fact that I cut my hair after school! You can’t see it in the photo and you probably won’t ever witness the glory of it unless you are physically by or with me.

okay bare with me, this is like the worst photo but I needed it for this blog. Only 90’s kids will know.  Anyways!! The weekend of my birthday was filled with fun. Should I say my birthday weekend? Yes I should. Okay but like for reals moving on, My weekend contained shopping and going to LA and I got cute things. Like hella cute things. I got some jackets, shoes, jeans, and shirts. I needed new clothes in general so I was super excited. Shout out to my bae Jesse and his mom <3.  Believe me, I could get into all the detail but then you’ll be reading a five page essay so let’s not do that. And by the way, the picture was before my haircut as well.

When’s your birthday? Leave a comment.

Stunt Season!

It’s stunt season!!!!!!!! Stunt season is one the most exciting parts of the school/cheer year. It consists of hard work, lifting people up in the air, and strength. And to add in, it also takes a lot of practice and dedication. What is stunt? Well it’s a CIF sport that consists of two schools competing with routines in uniforms (like any other team in a sport would).

Oof, don’t mind me awkwardly posing.. I don’t know how to take pictures of myself… haha.

Anyways, team members must be girls. The routines usually involve four people, two bases, a backspot, and a flyer. The bases lift the flyer up into the air and the flyer does fancy things to make the routine look good, and the backspot helps support the group. I am a base, Dominique is the flyer, Cielo is the backspot, and Elianna is the other base. If you know who we are then good, because you know some cool people.

Let’s talk about practices. They consist of running, jumping jacks, stretching, falling, bruises, scratches, messing up, and success. Believe me it is way more fun than it sounds like. A lot of the time you are busy counting trying to get things right. “Five, six, seven, eight.. One, two, set three, four.” If you were there, that is pretty much all you would hear along with some videos playing so that groups can study the routines. There are different routines for different members. My pod is in routine two with twists cradles, 180’s, and cartwheels to extensions.

My team members have worked so hard to get everything down and we are pretty much solid, except there’s this one little step we can’t get right. But that is totally okay because that’s what practice is for. “Practice makes perfect.”

Apart from that games are the best thing. It gives you feelings such as suspension, excitement, and wonder. AHHHHHHH I love it so much. attention any girl from SBHS: if you are interested in joining stunt then contact me or comment below! I definitely recommend it!

Come out and support us sometime this season!  I have information if you need it.

This Is Bel.

This is Bel. Mari(bel) is my younger sister but we are both in the middle of my mom’s children. Maribel is the type of person to light up the room right when she walks in. The room could be bright and she would still light up the room.

Her sense of humor never fails to make me laugh until I’m on the ground holding my stomach or making noises that do not sound human. She is literally one of the most weirdest, craziest, and funniest people you could ever meet.

She is so funny that whenever my mom is mad at her or mad in general, she can make my mom smile and laugh in an instant. My mom tries to hold it back but it is pretty much impossible.  Car rides are one of the best things when you travel with Bel. From belching out lyrics even when you don’t know the words, dancing, or just yelling out random things, car rides with her make you feel like you’re about to pee yourself ( obviously in a good way).

Apart from being funny and hyper, she is also a chill person. She’s the neutral one out of the family. As in the way that people (her siblings) start arguments with her, not the other way around. She’s that kind of person that will give you crap about taking her bag of chips but will not do anything to get them back because she could just “buy a new bag”. Not only that but Maribel is someone to describe as an awesome person. She all the good things you could possibly think of (well sometimes). Okay, but she is also really photogenic and it amazes me because I wish I could be like that. @Maribel: I’m still better than you.

Like said before she lights up that room. I could say she is the life of the party. She is amazing, caring, honest, comical, athletic, extra, petty, cool, legit, hyper, annoying, but most importantly she is my sister. I love her but hate so much but shout out to her for making me laugh when I am not in the best mood. #chucheesforlife

Add her on instagram @maribel_mezaa unless you’re creepy or something like that.

Meeting Michael

Michael Meza is my brother. The oldest of the bunch. The leader of the pack. The thing that holds us together. And with that, today you will be meeting Michael.

My brother is one of the most caring, photogenic, fun, and boujee people you’ll ever meet. He is someone I look up to and someone I am very close to.

We have lots of laughs and he deals with a lot of my corny jokes. Sometimes we argue but it’s really rare that we do. On occasions he likes to be the very best person in the world and will buy me food when I’m hungry. He is a really cool person in general. So like add him on insta @michaelandrewmeza !!!!

Like any brother would, Michael watches over my sisters and I. He makes sure we’re safe and sound. One thing I absolutely love about him is the fact that I can joke around without him getting offended by something being said. Not only that, but he always has my back in a lot of situations. I’d like to say that I am very lucky to have a brother like him. Some one I can relate to and someone that will probably become famous (once again check out his insta).

Believe me some of the stuff he does is iconic and very very extra. Which is sometimes amazing. Whether if it’s acting out a scene of a movie, singing songs with multiple parts, or even getting dressed to go out, there is never a dull moment with this fool. By the way, he knows how to dress very well. You know that saying “dress to impress”. Yeah well that’s pretty much what he does, even if he doesn’t try to impress. Besides that, EVERYTHING IS EXTRAVAGANT. And I mean everything. If you saw him on a daily then you would definitely believe me. It’s like he can turn a pumpkin into a nice and pretty carriage.

Anyways, to conclude this weeks blog, I just wanted to say, I love you Michael! Though you bug me sometimes, no one is ever going to look after me like you do. ❤

To my readers: Thank you for taking your time to meet Michael. I appreciate you.
